Who Am I?

Finishing my 20th year as head men’s volleyball coach at Springfield College, I am very excited about the opportunity to direct the Springfield Boys’ Volleyball School. As a faculty member of the SC Physical Education Department, I enjoy teaching the game of volleyball. The camp is a great chance to teach with some colleagues of mine and watch my players do an excellent job coaching.

It is my aspiration that the Springfield Boys’ Volleyball School will continue to be the premier volleyball camp for boys on the east coast. My goal is to direct a camp that will provide a  comfortable learning environment to enhance the skills of all my players, from beginners to advanced, club and high school players. The camp will include instruction in skill technique, tactical strategies, and competition. I am confident that each camper will enjoy and benefit from his experience with the Springfield Boys’ Volleyball School.

Frequently Asked Questions

Campers should have enough clothes to wear for 9 sessions. Kneepads are recommended. Also, clothes to wear at night when we are spending time in the dorms. Have a pair of sneakers that are already broken in. For the dorm, campers should bring sheets, blankets, and pillow. It is a good idea to bring a fan for the window. Each floor has a bathroom and shower on each side. Toiletry items and a towel are necessary to bring. We sell some snacks and drinks in the dorms but if your son wants, he can bring more.

Coach Sullivan – I want to drop you a quick note to thank you. Last year my son attended your volleyball camp – he was the youngest one, first time at a sleep away camp and knew nothing about volleyball. Your camp sparked a fine in my son I have never seen. He loves Volleyball! He played club this year and as a 13 year old was asked to play on the U16 team for the latest tournament. He can not wait to go back to your camp and start high school in the fall so he can play Volleyball there.  Thanks You!
